Dear Year 4,

Yesterday, we all tried Miss Pringle’s burpees challenge and most of the children accomplished gold level!  Ms Varga has shown good effort 🙂

We joined in the virtual Mass with Fr Shaun before starting our learning.

The children found the writing task interesting; daydreaming about a day out once Lock-down is over. Some of them planned a day out on the beach, some visiting horse riding stables and doing horse riding.

What did you plan?  Please share your day out with us!!

O God,
who has so faithfully cared for me in the past,
and so often seen me through to safety:
Grant me that in moments of depression,
desolation, failure and despair,
I may look back in gratitude,
and refreshed by the remembrance of past grace
turn again to the future in renewed trust
and unfailing hope
resting upon Jesus Christ,
my beloved Saviour.

Dear Year 4!

We hope you have had a lovely weekend, even though the weather wasn’t very gracious to us!

This week, we are moving on to a new English unit, which will include looking at Zoos around the world and it will ask you to form an opinion for or against Zoos. You will also have a chance to look at activities supporting your mental well being. The themes are: give, get active, connect, take notice and keep learning. Just like last week, we would like you to choose one activity each afternoon to complete.

Please keep in touch and send us photos of your work or things that you have been up to. It was lovely seeing some of these last week! We will put them on for you in this week’s Celebration blog, so keep an eye out!

Morning Prayer
A Prayer in the Time of the Coronavirus

Almighty and All–loving God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
we pray to you through Christ the Healer
for those who suffer from the Coronavirus Covid–19
in Great Britain and across the world.

We pray too for all who reach out to those who mourn the loss
of each and every person who has died as a result of contracting the disease.

Give wisdom to policymakers,
skill to healthcare professionals and researchers,
comfort to everyone in distress
and a sense of calm to us all in these days of uncertainty and distress.

This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord
who showed compassion to the outcast,
acceptance to the rejected
and love to those to whom no love was shown.

Amen.
