WALT: Identify adjectivesUnderline the adjectives in these sentences.

  1. The small dog has fluffy, brown fur.
  2. The gentle donkey stood next to the young dog.
  3. He hurt his paw on the rough log.
  4. The dog wagged his stubby tail.
  5. The donkey rested in the long grass.

Now rewrite all of the sentences. Add more detail by extending the sentences or adding in another adjective to make them more interesting.

James has made an elephant using origami.

Alice too has written her Easter poem.

We are half way through the week already. We hope you have been enjoying your work so far.

Before you start today’s work, look over the answers from yesterdays work.

Today there is English, Maths and Science work to do. Our new topic in Science is “Animals including Humans”. It is very interesting and you will start by finding out more about your own teeth.

I had a lovely update from Matthias yesterday showing me all of the creative things he has done over Easter and his flower from yesterday’s learning. Well done, Matthias! You are using your time well and making the most of the lovely weather.

Good Morning Year 4!

 

We hope that you have all settled back into a routine today after starting your summer term work yesterday!

We are missing you all, so it was lovely to hear from some of you and see your pictures!

Lily has been busy cooking – brownies….yum!!  William is practising his piano pieces – I bet Mrs Martin is delighted to see him working hard; Darcie-Louise  has completed a lovely Easter Cross; Jack has been busy with his Lego and has created a fabulous impression of the Nightingale Hospital ; Joseph looked at the ‘Go Create’ part of the class page below and tried his hands at the origami work, designing his own zoo and I’ve posted a picture of my recent flapjacks and blueberry muffins!

 

Today there is English, Maths, RE and French work to do. We hope you enjoy the game to practice your colours in French!

WALT: Identify prepositions

A preposition is a word that shows the relationship between one thing and another.

It may tell you where a thing is in relation to something else. E.g. The passengers watched from inside the plane.

It may tell you when something is in relation to another event. E.g. The excitement would not end until the plane landed.
