Summer 1 Week 6

In Maths, the children have been solving division problems with and without remainders. They have used resources, drawn pictures and used their knowledge of timetables.

In English, the children have been using similes and metaphors to write descriptions. They have been learning to write a subordinate clause at the beginning and at the end of a sentence.

In Religion, we learnt about Pope Francis and how his beliefs impact on the things that he does. The children thought of other people we know and how they live as a friends of the Holy Spirit.

In Science, we learnt about how water is transported in a plant and planned an investigation to show this happening. The children also planned an investigate to prove that leaves evaporate water. We had our last tennis lesson with Mr Mills where the children applied all of the skills they have learnt this term.

On Thursday, the children were reverent and sang beautiful in the May procession. Thank you for the beautiful flowers.

On Friday we celebrated the feast of St Paul VI with a whole school mass followed by ice lollies.

This Saturday some of the children are making their First Holy Communion – D’hani, Brody, Mark, Raphaella, Jamie, Isabella P, Isabella B, Jack F, Connor, Hanna, Oliver, Jayden, Sophia P, Sophia DH, Eloise, Leo S and Dudley. I hope you have a wonderful day.
