This week the children learnt all about multiplication. They explored concrete objects before drawing their own pictorial representations. They have enjoyed answering quick fire questions on their 2, 5 and 10 x’s tables.

The sun shone as Year 2 took a stroll in the woods. Their task was to build houses for Elves made out of materials they could find. Lots of fun was had by all!
Can materials be changed by bending, squashing, squeezing and twisting? Well the children had fun by making their own ‘goo’ to try out all these actions. They then explored a range of other materials, paper, wood, metal, rubber bands before presenting their findings in a table.
This week the children took part in science investigations to find out which material was best for stopping a leaking a bucket and which material was best for a car to travel the furthest.
