Week 8
A lovely week to end the first half term! The children have worked really hard this half term and have done lots of fantastic learning.
We have been learning about Peru in One World Week. The children enjoyed learning lots of facts about Peru and wrote fantastic fact files. Thank you for all the lovely projects on Peru that you did at home.
The week started with a special parcel being delivered to Year 1. We were very surprised and excited to be sent a Paddington Bear from Peru to look after. The children were keen to impress Paddington! Paddington will go home with someone every weekend and we look forward to reading about his adventures.
The children were chefs and made Alfajores de Maicena (Peruvian biscuits.) I hope you all enjoyed eating them!
Michael, the seminarian is from Peru. He came into talk to the children and they had lots of wonderful questions to ask him. They enjoyed looking at all of the things he had from Peru.
Thank you to all of the parents who made it to our celebration morning. It was great to have you in the class and we hope you had a lovely time! The children enjoyed showing you a traditional Peruvian dance that they have learnt. We have some great movers in the class!
Have a wonderful holiday!
