On Thursday Year 5 visited Greenwich observatory, where they investigated the stars and planets in the amazing Planetarium and met an astronaut! They saw and stood across the meridian line! It was a wonderful experience and the children behaved brilliantly. Thank you to Mrs Charalambous for accompanying us.

The past couple of weeks have been filled with science experiments, football matches, cross country, gymnastics, multiplication, story writing and a class Mass! The children have performed and approached all these activities with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. The children also enjoyed an anti bullying theatre production and raising money for children in need.
It was a pleasure taking the class to the British Museum on Tuesday to explore the museum’s Ancient Egyptian wing. The children looked for clues and artefacts and worked on some beautiful sketches A huge thank you to our parent helpers: Mrs Avery, Mrs Porto and Mrs Burke
On Wednesday we had the privilege of welcoming Nicola White, double Olympic champion hockey player, to our school. After sharing an assembly, the children had their photo taken with Nicola.
