Year 5 – 21/07/23

And just like that, Year 5 has come to an end ๐Ÿ˜”It really has flown by, seeming like only a few months ago that you came into my classroom for your transition day, unsure how to feel about the prospect of being in upper Key Stage 2. You really have been a fantastic class to teach – so much enthusiasm, so many individual personalities, and so much care and kindness dictating your daily actions. I wasn’t able to thank you properly at home time today because we were all blubbering messes and I couldn’t string more than 3 words together, but thank you so much for making my job so enjoyable and for giving me a brilliant year. Thank you also for the generous gifts and kind words written; it is really appreciated ๐Ÿ’–

It has been a fun-filled final week. The week began with our Mini Police assembly – which you wrote and delivered superbly. Here you all are, being presented with your certificates by the chief inspector.

Yesterday was the Summer Fun Day, which did what it says on the tin. Between the bouncy castle, Nerf guns, sponge throwing, rat splatting, duck hooking and body tattooing, we played the Pirate Game, which was as enjoyable as it was intense! The day ended with a bowlful of tasty treats. Thank you FOPPS for organising such a great day!

Wishing you all a fantastic summer, whether it is relaxed or adventure-filled!

Love Miss Donatantonio ๐ŸŒž
