Cut out a circle. Write the numbers on the circle for a clock. Ask the children to fold the circle in half so they can see that the crease in the paper it at the 6. Colour one half a colour and the other half a different colour. The clock has 12 numbers. What is half of 12? Using the clock you made. Show the children when the big hand (minute hand) is at the 6 it is half past the hour. Show them some times for half past and get them to read them to you. Then ask them to show you those times on their clock they made on Monday.

Write each spelling four times in your handwriting book. Remember to stay in lines like the examples in your book.

Phonics Read the words out, made, came

Practise spelling who, because

We can pronounce the letter c different ways when we read and spell words.

C         cat, coat, can, cap

S       cell, city,  acid, success

Can you think of other words when the c makes the c sound and words when the c makes the s sound? Write them in your writing book.
