Spring 1 Week 6

This week has been a busy week in Reception!

Our theme was love. We have been making valentine’s cards for our parents, talking about how we can show love to people and making lots of pictures. The children have been making hearts using different resources and making drinks for people we love.

In Phonics, we have been revising the digraphs we have learnt this term. Please practise at home so the children can read the sounds and when they hear them, they can write them.

In Maths, the children have been making 6, 7 and 8 in different ways using resources, continue to practise this at home.

On Tuesday and Friday, we visited Seabrook Retirement Home. I was proud of the how the children interacted with the residents and they sang beautifully.

On Friday, the children led the school assembly. They read confidently and sang beautifully. They spread the message of the Gospel reading well. Lots of them said they would tidy their room and make their beds to show their love!

Have a wonderful half term!
