Summer 1 Week 1
I hope you had a lovely Easter!
On Sunday, we heard the sad news about Pope Francis. The children have painted pictures of Pope Francis and written thank you prayers for him. They thought about how they can show kindness like Pope Francis did. The children made Popemobiles.
Wednesday was St George’s Day. We read the story George and the Dragon. The children made shields, dragon wings and princess hats. They wrote sentences about the story and wrote about times when they were brave.
In Maths, we have been learning about the numbers 11, 12 and 13. The children have been making these numbers by making 10 and one, two or three more.
In phonics, we have been revising the phase 3 sounds and writing sentences. Please continue to practise these sounds at home.
Each Wednesday, the children will do PE with the Sports coach. They enjoyed playing games this week.
