Summer 2 Week 1
It was lovely to welcome the children back after their holiday and hear about their half term holiday. As part of our Pentecost learning our learning was focused on water, wind and fire. Today we also had a visit from Fr Fidelis, a Spiritan chaplain at NBS, Mass led by Fr. Shaun and an ice lolly in the sunshine!
One of the children’s water and wind challenges this week was to design, built, test and evaluate a boat that would float and carry a teddy bear safely across the water tray. They worked very well together and were extremely creative.
In Maths we have been learning about the properties of 2D shapes. Next week we will be focusing on 3D shapes.
Next Tuesday you are invited to join us for Sports Day at 1:45pm and then at 3:15pm you may collect your child to visit their current and then new classrooms. This is not a formal consultation or a book look as the books and reports will be sent home at the end of the term.
Holy Communion application forms are available to collect from Church after Mass.
P.E. kits for Monday, Tuesday (Sports day) and Wednesday (swimming) next week.
