Blog week 32

This week the children have been learning how to identify trees by their leaves and bark. They had lots of fun playing ‘leaf bingo’ and taking bark rubbings from trees. They matched this to an identification sheet and carefully drew each leaf in to their books. Well done to all the children who took part in the phonic challenge – we are so proud of you all! Thank you parents for your support in this. In History, Year 1 have been learning about Queen Elizabeth 1 they took part in role play and hot seating of significant events.

Kate was very keen to share her new knowledge of the bark rubbing and leaf Bingo with us all, so we have learnt some new things too! Thank you for sharing.
