Spring Term Week 8 Reception

What a busy week of learning!

In RE, Reception have been learning about Lent and how we prepare for Easter by praying to bring us closer to God, by giving to others less fortunate than ourselves and by doing kind things for others.

The children wrote their Lenten promises which were used as part of the Lenten assembly on Friday. Reception also took part in a special Lenten Act of Worship with their Year 6 learning partners, which was led by Sofia, Jaineel, Oliver and Claudia.

On Thursday, Reception  joined the rest of the school in celebrating World Book Day. They were very excited and proud to show off their costumes alongside the older children and teachers and enjoyed listening to one another as they explained who they had dressed up as and why.

Next week, we are looking forward to British Science week which focusses on the theme ‘Journeys’.
