| Laudato Si Group at Pope Paul School
We are Raylan, Finn B, Aram and Nathan – the Laudato Si Leaders at Pope Paul Primary School here in Potters Bar! Pope Francis wrote in his letter, Laudato Si, that we must care for our world and the environment. This is why we decided to become Laudato Si Leaders. We’ve asked the school community for their ideas about how we can look after our planet in a better way. This year we’ve organised a conker competition to help raise awareness about the natural world around us. We also helped organise a clothes swap, to reduce waste and its impact on the environment. We’ve also had a campaign to help encourage people to pick up litter when they see it. We’re proud of the impact we’ve had on the school so far this year. We’ve also written to a local garden centre who have donated seeds for our school garden, which we plan to plant in the summer term. All this helps to raise awareness and make a cultural change among the Pope Paul community. Looking ahead, we know that even small things can make a big difference, and hope that our work here will help people think more about Laudato Si and care for the world around us. |
