Carole Strange, Vice Chairman of Governors
I have been serving as a governor at Pope Paul School since 2014 and am delighted to take on the role of Chair Of Governors this year. I am an active member of Our Lady and St. Vincent parish. I am married, have three daughters and two grandsons who attend Pope Paul. I feel very much part of the school community both as a governor and as a grandparent.
My main area of interest is in Early Years education, having managed a nursery in a private school for 11 years. I now enjoy retirement, which gives me more time to direct to my role as foundation governor with focus on the Early Years. It has been a pleasure observing this area as it continually evolves to provide a stimulating experience for the youngest children, as they join the school. I believe that Early Years Education provides fundamental building block for learning, this is why it is important to strive continually for outstanding provision. I am happy to support the school in any way possible.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and supporting local homeless shelter projects.
I appreciate the continued opportunity to give support to a very committed team, that aim to deliver outstanding provision academically, spiritually and emotionally, to the children of Pope Paul School.
