Family Prayer at Home
Across their time in our Catholic schools, children are helped to pray in a variety of ways and are provided with many different experiences of liturgy and worship in the classroom and throughout the school day.
As part of our commitment to the ongoing spiritual development of our pupils we have also been looking at ways of supporting parents and carers to continue this within the home. ‘Prayer at Home’ is a new initiative that will provide a weekly prayer resource to all families of children in ASCAT schools, that can be easily followed at home to create a moment of family prayer within the busy lives that we all lead. These will take a variety of formats from short video liturgies to written services for you to share together.

The Wednesday Word outreach is based in evangelisation and shares the Gospel in a new way.
The outreach aims to help all school families draw closer to God, to the Church and to each other. The Wednesday Word particularly seeks to reach the majority of parents who do not hear the Gospel read in church or read the Bible together. This resource is a wonderful way to support school families through sharing the good news of the Sunday Gospel - whilst enhancing the Home, School and Parish partnership.
