Headteacher Governor. Appointed April 2016. Currently on all Committees. No pecuniary interest. No relatives on staff.
I am delighted and privileged to be leading our wonderful school. It is inspiring to see how our community works together to strive to provide a happy, caring environment where every child can develop a lifelong passion for learning and achieve their potential. When we pray our mission prayer we affirm that we are all God’s work of art. We believe that our children are made in the image and likeness of God so it is our mission to nurture them so that they can flourish and grow in God’s love. I hope that you will enjoy looking at our website and see many happy faces, inspired to learn, serving others and enjoying opportunities to do their best.
I have been teaching in Catholic Schools since 1987, having trained at Christ’s and Notre Dame College, which is now part of Liverpool Hope. I attended St Monica’s Primary School in Palmer Green and then St Michael’s Grammar School in North Finchley. I started my career teaching in central London and then spent several years working with Jesuit Missions in Zimbabwe where I taught maths at St Ignatius College in Chishawasha, just outside Harare.
I am married with 4 wonderful children, 3 of whom attended Pope Paul School. I enjoy going on long walks and am a fan of musical theatre. I enjoy singing and have led our school choir since 2010. It is a joy to be part of our Catholic community here in Potters Bar.
