Year 5 – 09/09/22
Welcome to Year 5! We’ve had a wonderful first week back and it’s been lovely getting to know the class. We began the week with a walk across the field to the pond; excitement ensued when a tiny frog came to join us!
Also this week:
- We kicked off our Year of Pilgrimage, which is our whole-school focus for this year;
- We held the World Cup of Books to choose our class reader for this half term;
- We learnt vocabulary for different jobs in French;
- We discussed our mission prayer values and where we are taught these in the Bible;
- We began our Science topic about the different stages of human development;
- We started to build on our place value knowledge in Maths;
- We explored how effective well-chosen vocabulary can be in English;
- We played collaborative and communicative games in PE;
- We wrote beautiful prayers and letters to Her Majesty the Queen. May she rest in peace.
