Year 4 – 9/6/17

Welcome back!

This final half term promises to be full of fun, with many exciting events coming up.

We began our week by celebrating the birthday of our church. We read the story of Pentecost and imagined ourselves there. The children reflected on the feelings the disciples may have felt and considered what they may have said to spread the word of God. We also looked at the symbols of Pentecost and put them into some artwork. By using marbling inks, we created a background to represent the fire.

This created a wonderful base and next week we will use the stamps we made to print a range of Pentecost images.

Today we turned our attention to sports day. We have practised some racing and throwing in preparation for next Friday. Please remember that children should come to school in their P.E kit.

Thank you for the donations to our class hamper so far, we have collected some lovely purple items already.

I hope to see you all on Sunday at the carnival. The children will look amazing in their tie dye shirts representing Pope Paul!

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Lines
