Mardi Gras Fun

This week the children took part in lots of Mardi Gras fun. Tuesday morning started with races in hall in house teams and then pancake flipping using a pan and a splat! The children then had a very creative afternoon making masks, all before enjoying their pancakes. Finally, the day ended with a very energetic and joyful Mardi Gras dance loved by all!

English

In English the children have read more of the Stone Age Boy, discovered additional characters and continued to make predictions. They also worked in pairs and explored two of the main characters through drama.

The children started to plan and write the beginning to their own version of ‘The Present’ on Thursday.

In maths they started learn about capacity and volume and reading scales with ml and l.
