Year 2 Blog Week 5

This week Year 2 have been reflecting on the life and work of Pope Paul VI. The children learnt about canonization, wrote up fact files and created some beautiful artwork.

 

In English, the children wrote a first person recount. The children recounted a day in the life of Rapunzel, experiencing freedom for the first time. Everyone included plenty of wonderful expanded noun phrases in their writing.

We had a very special visitor in class this week … Michael, the seminarian from OLSV came to sing some hymns with us. It was a joyful afternoon of singing.

We have been focusing on balances in P.E. The children created amazing individual balances on the mats.
