Year 2 Blog Week 26

We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song!

We started our first week back at school with a special assembly to celebrate the Risen Lord. We also put the finishing touches to our Easter Gardens. Well done to everyone for completing the Easter Home Learning project. The Year 2 garden is full of symbols of new life, from painted eggs and chicks to colourful flowers and butterflies.

In Religion this week the children have been looking at the Resurrection story – The Road to Emmaus. We will continue working on this story next week as part of our Big Write in English.

Year 2 have been making the most of the glorious weather this week. We have been working hard digging and planting up the vegetable patches. The children found lots of worms and insects and we even found a frog! What do you think we should call the frog? All suggestions welcome.

Reminder: No hat, no play! Please ensure your child has a sun hat with them every day.
