Year 2 Blog Week 22

Year 2 enjoyed lots of wonderful learning activities this week. Some of highlights: World Book Day, Saracens Rugby and Affinity Water school trip. There were plenty of colourful characters in class on Monday from Little Red Riding Hood to Matilda as well as  Where’s Wally and Hairy McClary. Even David Attenborough made an appearance. It was a wonderful celebration of books! In English we started reading The Tunnel by Anthony Browne and we will be using this story as inspiration for our next big story write! To end the week we visited Affinity Water, where we learnt about both pond creatures and minibeasts and how these creatures have adapted to their habitats. We also looked at some basic food chains and  gained an appreciation of how all living things in our local ecosystem are connected.IMG_0193 IMG_0196
