Year 2 Blog Week 2

It has been a busy week of learning in Year 2. In Religion we have been learning about the Bible and the children used their computing skills to create some wonderful mind maps. We are now focusing on the story of creation in the book of Genesis.

In maths we have been looking at number and place value. The children used different resources to help them recognise the value of each digit in 2 and 3 digit numbers.

In P.E. we have been concentrating on our teamwork skills. Everyone had great fun working together to complete the tricky tasks.

This week we are enjoying the story of James and the Giant Peach by our author of the month. Roald Dahl’s writing is providing us with plenty of great adjectives to use in our own writing.
