Year 2 Blog Week 1
It has been a busy first week of learning in Year 2. In Maths we have been looking at number and place value. The children used different resources to help them recognise the value of each digit in 2 and 3 digit numbers. There were plenty of resourceful beavers in Year 2 this week.

The Year 2 Author of the Month is the very talented Roald Dahl. So far we have enjoyed the wonderful Esio Trot and marvelled at the tales of The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me. We have now moved onto FANTASTIC Mr Fox. In English we have been learning about different poems. To celebrate Roald Dahl Day we looked at the poem, The Crocodile and the children created some magnificent Crocky-Wock headbands to wear while performing the poem.
