Summer Week 4 w.b. 08.05.2023

English

Year 1 have been applying their knowledge of instructions and have produced some wonderful writing on ‘How to Brush your teeth’. Next week they will be writing their final unit piece on ‘How to wash a Woolly Mammoth’.

Maths

Year 1 worked hard this week with a new calculation- division. They shared lots of different resources between two and learnt that odd numbers will have a remainder- they enjoyed sharing the cakes out too! Homelearning-

-Mathletics division has been set
-Spelling/ sounds learnt: l, ll, le and we revised silent letters: wr, kn, mb, gn so I have sent some games home to practise with.
-Phonics Screen begins w.b. June 12th. Past papers to practise reading available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/national-curriculum-assessments-practice-materials
-Please remember to bring reading books in daily.
