Week 8

What a wonderful week we have had!  In Maths we have identifying and describing 2D shapes. We sorted shapes into groups according to their properties.

We have continued reading The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon. The children have written wonderful wanted posters and a diary recount.

On Thursday it was World Book Day. All of the children looked fantastic in their costumes and they enjoyed describing their characters. We talked about how important it is to read regularly. We played pass the book. Can you think of the most unusual places to read? Take a photo reading in an usual place and send it in.

After reading the story The Scarecrows Wedding, we made scarecrows.  We used wooden spoons, different materials and straw. The scarecrows look great!

Our class garden is looking wonderful. What amazing gardeners we have in the class! The children planted the beautiful plants that you sent in. Thank you!

Have a lovely weekend.
