Week 6

IMG_0942 IMG_0944 IMG_0903 IMG_2643 IMG_2642Year 3 have been working hard to edit and improve their Stone Age adventure stories. Next week, they will be sharing them with each other and Y4. In maths they have been rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 as well as using their adding skills in PE.

During topic we’ve investigated how archaeologists identify prehistoric skeletons and how male and female skeletons differ and in Science we are looking closely at soil and its properties. We have also used our mapping skills to locate some of the Stone Age archaeologist sites in Sussex and Kent.

We have really enjoyed learning about Pope Paul VI and how someone becomes a saint. His canonization this weekend, along with Oscar Romero’s is a very special time for our Church and school community.

Home learning:

Spelling : Homophones (week 5) please find an electronic copy of these spellings under the resources section on our class page.

RE : The children have been given a sheet, which asks them to write a prayer to Saint Paul VI.

Have a lovely weekend

Miss Pringle
