WALT: Know the Resurrection story – The road to Emmaus

Watch the video – Jesus appears to two disciples walking to Emmaus from the Gospel of St. Luke.

Create your own moving picture scene of Jesus and the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Design and colour the background of your scene.

Create your characters on a separate page and cut out.

Attach a strip of card to the back of your characters to use as a handle.

Use a scissors to cut a horizontal slot in the middle of your scene. Be careful when cutting and do not cut all the way through, leave 5 centimetres at each edge.

Finally slide your characters into position and you have created a moving picture scene.

Handwriting Copy the following sentences into your handwriting book:

I bought some cheese from the market stall.
It was almost time for lunch.
His shoes were too small for his feet.
I enjoyed our walk in the countryside.
There were large green leaves growing from the stalk.
