Maths	07-05-2020 WALT: Continue a pattern. To celebrate VE-Day red, white and blue bunting was hung in people’s homes and in the streets. Decorate your own bunting with continuing pattern. Your pattern could include different shapes, numbers and colours.
English	Thursday 6th May 2020 WALT: Write descriptively. Imagine that you were at the VE Day celebrations! Write a diary entry, recording what it was like during the VE celebrations. Describe what you saw, heard, smelt and how you felt! Begin your diary entry… Dear Diary, I have waited a long time for this war to end. I can’t believe that it is over. We had a huge party today to celebrate….
Music	Thursday 7th May 2020 Listening and appreciation People sang songs and danced to celebrate the end of the war. ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn was a popular song during the war. Listen to ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and answer the following questions. Is this music happy or sad? Is it fast or slow? What instruments can you hear? What does this piece of music make you think of? Did you enjoy the piece? Explain our answer.
