Summer 1 week 5 w.b 13.5.24

In Re this week the children were learning about how the word of God was spread throughout the world. They discussed how it began with Jesus preaching, to the Apostles preaching at Pentecost all the way to us learning about it at Pope Paul School. They also made some beautiful flames that will be displayed in the school hall.

In Maths the children have focused on counting in multiples of 5. They worked with number lines, completed a 100 square adding missing numbers and also spotted the missing numbers.

 

In History the focus was very much on King Chares and a timeline of his life. The children ordered pictures using the correct dates and discussed  the events of each image.

Home Learning – Due Friday.

Mathletics – please complete the activities set.

Spellings – please practice the spellings with your child for a spelling test next Friday.

Phonics – please complete the phonics sheet and encourage your child to read the words to you.

Reading – 5/10 minutes daily.
