Spring 2 Week 5

This week the children have finished writing their speeches to persuade people to stop using plastic. The children used a range of persuasive language and thought carefully about the phrases they were using to encourage people to change. The children demonstrated a wonderful understanding about how we can work together to build a better world.

In Maths the children have been finding fractions of amounts. They used resources and drew bar models to help them solve problems.

In Geography, the children were learning about the consequences of an earthquake. They looked closely at world maps and labelled the continents.

In Religion, the children have been learning about the events during Holy Week and retold the story of Palm Sunday.

Ruth’s mum in Year 2 came in to talk to us about her job as a nurse. The children asked fantastic questions and learnt the importance of Science in her job.
