Spring 2 Week 5

Another half term over! In English the children have been researching pirates and have written a non- chronological report. Children were encouraged to focus on prepositions to provide more detail to the reader. Then they made a book on pirates as their final piece. At the end of the week the children collaged and painted pirate ships.

In Maths, we have been subtracting using column subtraction with and without regrouping. The children have worked hard to grasp this new concept.

In Art, the children completed their final pieces by adding stitching to their painting. They did a fantastic job and they are on display in the classroom.

On Wednesday, the choir children sang at Wembley Arena as part of the Young Voices. They sang with Heather Small and did some beatboxing with famous beatboxers. The children were a credit to our school with their amazing voices, great dancing and brilliant behaviour.

In Religion, we have been learning about the Beatitudes. We thought about different Saints and how they showed that they were Beatitudes person. Then we thought about people we know who are Beatitudes people. After we spoke to Mrs Lopez about how she lives her life as Beatitude person.
