Spring 2 Week 3

This week has been particularly engaging as we embraced the themes of British Science Week through a series of intriguing enquiries. One of the highlights was our investigation to determine which biscuits are best suited for dunking in cold milk. This hands-on experiment sparked lively discussions among the class, enhancing their prediction and observational skills.

We were also fortunate to be visited by Mr Adu, a Science teacher from Nicolas Breakspear School. He presented us with the challenge of constructing a marble maze using just paper, sellotape and straws. This activity culminated in our exploration of magnetic properties, where we learned how magnets move metal objects. The pupils used this knowledge to navigate marbles through their carefully constructed mazes.

Throughout the week, we used our oracy skills to discuss, probe, and critically challenge each other’s ideas. Overall, the week’s learning has been really enjoyable.

Have a wonderful weekend
