November 3rd Week 8

Welcome back everyone.  We have been hearing about the wonderful things you did over the half-term.

This week in school has seen us learning more about similes and how to use them in our writing; learning more about sound through designing our own musical instruments and how we can alter the pitch to make a higher/lower sound; finding out about and understanding one of the most important times in a Jew’s life: Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs; developing estimation to support calculation and many more areas of the curriculum.

Below are some pictures of the class making their instruments using only recycled material……….IMG_0305IMG_0307

On Wednesday, many of the children from the choir went off to participate in the Barnado’s Concert at the Royal Albert Hall and Sofia was one of our three singers who opened the concert with a performance of One Voice.  It was a lovely evening as I was also able to attend in the evening which made me feel very proud of the all the children  who took part.  Well done to all members of the choir who are from Year 4 and a special well done to Sofia who sang so gracefully.

You have received your home learning for this week.  If you have any queries, please pop in to the Monday  lunchtime club and I will assist you with your queries.

Have a lovely weekend.
