Once again it has been a very busy week in Year 5.
We started our week with a trip to the woods at Dame Alice Owen’s School, where we gathered evidence of wildlife including mini beasts, lichen, trees and birds. We also identified different trees, measured their girth and estimated their ages. Using our evidence we wrote persuasive letters, supporting the protection of woodland ecosystems.
The children have been working hard to learn their role in the Advent service – they must practise singing the Joseph song (see the hymn sheet on our classes page for the words.)
Complete another forces activity and hand in on Tuesday – I have been really impressed so far, well done!
This week your spelling rule is tious
1. Copy this web link into Google
2. Complete the learning activity: Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check and the spelling tests: Listen and spell and against the clock.
3. You do not need to write sentences for the spelling.
Enjoy the Christmas Fayre and have a lovely weekend,
