WALT: Use Place Value and number facts to solve problems
|
English | Monday 8th June 2020 WALT: Use contractions Find and match the contraction pairs in the table below.Read the short passage below. Find all the pairs of words that could be made into contractions (e.g. can not = can’t) and rewrite this passage with the contractions.Remember to put the apostrophe in the correct place! If you go into the Wild Wood, you should not forget to take a map. Do not leave the path, as it is very easy to get lost if you do. You will need to take a snack too – not for you to eat, but to give to the hungry creatures you will encounter on your journey. I have known the fairy folk who live in the wood to eat ten sandwiches each – and they are only 50 centimetres high! And once a traveller told me she had found an ogre daintily eating a plastic lunch box. I hope he did not get indigestion!
