This week has been another busy one!  It was lovely to catch up with many of our parents at the Parent Consultations.  For those parents who could not make it, we will be in touch after half term to organise an appointment with you.

One World Week

This week, One World Week, has been a great week for dancing, drumming and cooking!  As a class we have found out about a special shrine in Ngome, South Africa.  Our Lady appeared ten times to a nun there called Sr Reinolda over a period of 12 years and called herself ‘Tabernacle of the Most High’.  The children came into school having done their research and embraced all the activities we focussed on learning about Sr Reinolda and the Ngome community.

Today, after the whole school assembly and celebration morning, the children sampled some lovely african food made by Leon’s dad and also tucked into the South African Bunny-chow (curry) we made as a class.  Myself and Mrs Lines were so delighted to see the children try out these foods even when they were unsure about what they were going to taste like!!  As you can see from the pictures, it was delight all around!

Well done to the House Captains who assisted with the harvest assembly today and well done to our Laudato Si group who also spoke about their focus after half term on free cycle.  Read more about it in this weeks newsletter.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful half-term.

Mrs McNamara and Mrs Lines
