Busy Week

Year 4 has been very busy this week. They have met Alex, the trainee priest from Rome, who is working in the parish for a short while. The children interviewed him and found out that he has met Pope Francis on two occasions.

Children have been introduced to the recorder on Tuesday. We have learnt about pitch, melody and rhythm. We practised how to hold the instrument and played a few sounds, as well. Next week, we are planning to learn 2 new sounds and start working on a simple song.

In Science, children have used instruments again, when investigating the pitch and volume of sounds.

On Friday, children will also have the opportunity to work with Mr Dugan from DAOS as part of their PE lesson.

Heston Has loved the last week. The recorder is a big hit and he’s found homework club very beneficial. I have to say he’s having a great time with all the exciting subjects being covered.
