It has been another busy week in Year 5. A highlight was our visit from Harry from the Arsenal Training Academy. Each Wednesday, he will join us to teach us new skills in not only football but in communication and teamwork.
Harry wasn’t our only visitor this week. We were also joined by representatives form Hertfordshire to tell us all about the Juniour Travel Ambassador scheme. It is a wonderful opportunity for Year 5 to take on a leadership role and improve the safety of our school. As part of their home learning, children have been given an application form to be a part of the team.
Our weekly child-led act of worship this week focused on what it means to be trustworthy.Well done to the children who led the class beautifully.
As well as the JTA application, the children have a second piece of home learning this week. They need to create a poster to give information about the planets. This should include a picture of each planet and some information about it. It could have information about how long a day or year is, average temperatures, or conditions on the planet. It can be done on a computer or by hand. This poster will be stuck into their science books and so needs to be A4 size. Both pieces of home learning are due next Friday.
Have a wonderful weekend
