We have had a lovely last week with the class. After finishing off our big story, ‘The Magic Coin’ and completing RE learning based around Advent and Christmas customs around the World , the children dedicated some time to the coming festivities. They got their classroom into full party mode and created some wonderful decorations.

The children looked lovely in their party outfits on Wednesday and enjoyed the Christmas lunch followed by a class disco, more party food and a movie. The children really enjoyed dancing with their glow sticks and with the disco lights, the class was full of colourful lights!

Thank you children for all your hard work this term. We appreciate all the efforts you have made and your very mature attitude towards the changed rules and routines of this ‘new’ era.

We also thank you parents for your continued support this term and for the generous presents and gifts you have given to us.

We wish you all a safe, healthy and happy Christmas and New Year.

God Bless.

See you in 2021!

Merry Christmas

Our final week was filled with festive fun. On Wednesday, the children tucked into their Christmas lunches and enjoyed our class party afterwards. I hope to share some photos soon, once I have sorted out the technical difficulties!

Thank you for your kind and generous gifts. I have loved working with your children this term and look forward to welcoming them back in the New Year.

Wishing you a joyful Christmas,

Week 7

We have had a wonderful week in Year 1. On Monday we had popcorn and watched our Nativity. The children loved seeing themselves on screen and singing along to the songs.

The children scrubbed the potatoes and onions from our school gardens. Then cut them and put them in the oven. They were delicious!

On Wednesday we had Christmas lunch followed by our Christmas party. The dance moves in Year 1 were amazing!

All the children in Year 1 are Advent Angels!

The children have worked very hard this term and have been a pleasure to teach. I am proud of all of them.

Thank you for our  cards and generous gifts.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a great rest!

Dear Parents,

Please see the video below for the presentation of this week’s Head Teacher and Gold Awards.

Year 2 Blog 18-12-2020

What a fun and busy week it has been! We had our popcorn at the ready to enjoy the premiere screening of our KS1 Christmas Nativity – Children of the World. We hope you all enjoyed it as well! We couldn’t help but sing along!

It was like a scene out of Santa’s workshop in Year 2 this week. Everybody was busy making their needlepoint designs. We have definitely perfected the running stitch, cross stitch and back stitch!! We also had time for some cooking this week. We washed, peeled, chopped and roasted our allotment potatoes and onions. Simply delicious.

It was wonderful to come together for our special Christmas dinner. Everyone was full of festive cheer. With our glow sticks at the ready, we danced away the afternoon.

As the wonder of Christmas surrounds you, may your spirit be renewed with special joy at the miracle of his birth.

Thank you for your generous gifts and beautiful cards.

Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year.

Year 6 – 18/12/20 – MERRY CHRISTMAS!

What a fun week it has been! On Wednesday, whilst donning Christmas hats and party gear, we all enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch followed by party games, sweet treats and dancing. On Thursday, each of us took our turn playing Pin the Carrot on the Snowman, then had a glow-stick disco. It has been wonderful to hear so much laughter and good cheer.

Next Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday at 4pm, Potters Bar Radio will broadcast the Year 6 Carol Service. Please do spread the word and tune in to listen here.

Finally, thank you so so much for my gifts. The bag is absolutely gorgeous and 100% my style, so thank you – it is hugely appreciated. Thank you children for all your hard work. This term has flown by, which is testament to the fun, laughter and enthusiasm for learning that you bring to the classroom each day. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and I’ll see you in 2021 🎄🎅
