Spring Term Week 1

Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. The children have settled in well and enjoyed telling me about their wonderful holidays.

Mr Chico, a trainee teacher has been supporting in our class for a few weeks before Christmas and will be with us until the end of January.  The children have made him feel very welcome.

We started the week with a Act of Worship, thinking about Amelia. The children were very respectful and prayed for people they cared about.

In Literacy we read the story The Three Little Pigs and the children acted out the story. The expression they used for the different characters was fantastic!

In Numeracy we have been looking at different ways to make different totals. The children enjoyed making equivalent number sentences using dinosaurs.

The feast of the Epiphany was on Sunday 6th January so the children made crowns for the assembly on Friday. They all thought of a gift for 2019 . The children acted out the story of the Epiphany and retold it in their own words.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs Carey
