Making Bread

This week, we have been focussing on the story of The Little Red Hen.

On Monday, we drew a story map and made up some actions to go with the story and by Tuesday, we could all retell the story by ourselves. Maybe your child could tell it to you instead of a bedtime story tonight!

As you may have noticed, the children came home with some soda bread freshly prepared in class this week.

We had lots of fun making it!

We also had two very special visitors on Tuesday- Matteo’s mummy and his new baby brother came for a very special show and tell. We learnt all about his baby brother’s daily routine and how Matteo helps his mummy to look after him.

Thank you for visiting us!

We also said a sad goodbye to the chicks today. We have loved having them in our class and are missing them already! The boy chicks went back to the farm and the girl chicks went home with Mrs Ferguson.

Tymon loved making bread today! This has even made him to reconsider his future career plans-policeman or baker. We had the bread with soup for dinner and it was delicious!!! Thank you teachers for all your efforts to make learning such great fun for our children! We all know what it takes to do cooking with the little ones ha ha. Kind regards Violetta xx
